🥾

Walks & bike routes

Along the river Segura and the Sierra de Ricote. Shared by both apartments. Bring water and comfortable shoes.

🚶On foot

1

Walking access to the spa

Easy · ~8 min

Head to the path down to the river. Go down to the river Segura: you will see a wooden bridge. Without crossing it, keep right along the riverside path until you reach a paved street and continue left. In about 8 minutes you reach the spa entrance. In the car park you will see access to the lower floors: go down one floor to reception. You can reach the spa and have a drink even if you are not staying there.

2

Archena Playa (river beach)

Easy · ~15 min walk · river swimming

A river beach on the Segura where swimming is allowed, about a 15-minute walk away. A little further on is iPub, for a drink or a bite by the water.

3

Villanueva, Ulea & Ojós along the river

Moderate · riverside

Go down to the river access and, once down, turn left following the whole course of the river Segura. At Villanueva, cross to the other side over the footbridge and continue on the far bank. After Ulea, follow the pipes of the Ulea weir and turn left towards the viewpoint and archaeological remains of Salto de la Novia; that road leads you to Ojós. There is also another route marked on Wikiloc to Ojós: about 7 km and around 1 h 30 each way (the same back if you return the same way).

4

Barranco del Pozo & Pico de los Almeces

Hard · ~4 h · lots of climb

A tough route with plenty of elevation gain: bring plenty of water and allow about 4 hours. It is a 15-minute drive via Ricote, where you can grab something to eat or drink before or after. Park at the trailhead (room for 5-6 cars); if it is full, use the Casa Forestal de la Calera car park.

5

La Navela & Blanca

Drive there · ~15 min

Drive (about 15 minutes) past the Ojós weir to the La Navela recreation area, the starting point for several routes. Make the most of it to visit Blanca and its Alto de Bayna viewpoint.

6

Loop around the El Mayés reservoir

Drive there · ~20 min

A hidden gem 20 minutes away by car. A very quiet place for a silent walk surrounded by nature, with desert landscapes, views over pine forests and curious rock formations. Park in the area of the recreation ground and the chapel.

🚴By bike

Before you leave

A few minutes before checking out, please:

  1. 1

Take out the bathroom and kitchen rubbish bags, taking care not to throw away the clip that holds the bag in the bin. You will pass the containers on your way out, on Calle Hierbabuena.

  2. 2

Switch off the air conditioning, the lights and any appliances that are on (do not leave the dishwasher running).

  3. 3

Leave the keys where you found them. If you picked them up from a key box, put them back and scramble the code after closing it.

  4. 4

Let us know when you leave — it really helps us with the turnaround.

If you have any suggestion to improve your stay, just write to us. And if you enjoyed it, ask us for a discount code for your next booking. Thank you for staying with us!

No persons or pets not previously included in the booking may be present in the property.

The authorised pet may never be left alone in the property, nor be in contact with the upholstery (sofa and bed). The guest is responsible at all times for its control and supervision. We provide a bed, food and water bowls for your pet free of charge, on request.

Any damage caused by urine, excrement or by the pet to furniture or structural elements will be charged to the guest.

If staying with children or babies, please use waterproof protectors (or other suitable systems) for mattresses, sofas and sofa beds. Stains from urine or other damage caused by not taking these measures will be charged: cleaning, disinfection or replacement.

The terrace has an outdoor security camera (on the wall) to prevent unauthorised access from outside and to ensure the safety of the property and guests. It never records interior areas or private spaces, and it must not be tampered with, disconnected or altered. Footage is only reviewed in case of an incident, breach of rules or for security reasons, in accordance with the GDPR.

Access to the property is not allowed without first providing the identification data required for the Guest Register of the Spanish Ministry of the Interior (Royal Decree 933/2021).

Do not tamper with or disconnect any device or appliance without prior authorisation.

No parties or events are allowed.

Please respect the neighbours’ rest. Quiet hours: 11 pm to 9 am.

Breaking these rules may lead to cancellation of the booking under its terms and, where applicable, to the early departure of the guests.
